Our Story
Founder Li is living proof that ITE does not mean “It’s The End” but rather “It’s the Entrepreneur”. It’s hard to believe that a boy who couldn't pass a single spelling test could however master colossal databases of Chinese herbal products.
Founder Li discovered his passion for learning about Chinese herbs at the age of 19 when he started working part-time in a Traditional Chinese Medical Hall. When he realised that he wanted to start his own business selling Chinese herbs one day, Founder Li began working full time, clocking in over 12 hours every day to learn about the business, including how to brew Chinese herbal tea. He says the time spent with his customers face to face is invaluable to understanding their needs and what they could use to improve their health and well-being. It has greatly helped him achieve his goal, starting up on his own when he was 29.
“Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has a history of over 5,000 years and it is still widely used. Before COVID, I saw that there was a need to promote natural healing, health improvements and prevention of chronic illnesses with Chinese herbal products, so my wife and I developed content on social media platforms to offer practical tips and simple recipes for our customers and friends. Our business model has to evolve quickly, using technology to engage more customers so that we can spread the message widely,” said Founder Li.
Naturally, with COVID, we should be even more concerned about staying strong and healthy. TCM is effective in relieving symptoms, slowing the progression of the disease and improving the recovery rate for those with COVID*. This is why Yong Xing Tonic is more committed than ever to ensure the benefits of Chinese herbs are passed on to the next generation.
His vision is for the presence of Chinese herbal soups to transmit love, happiness and positive energy in every home. With such a meaningful purpose and strong conviction, there is no doubt Founder Li's business will go further as he continues to defy expectations in a society where paper qualifications are placed above everything else.
